Geotechnical Characterisation for Foundations (DFI of India) Committee

DFI of India Geotechnical Characterisation for Foundations Committee was formed in 2018 to improve and enhance the geotechnical investigation and reporting practice in India.

The goals of the committee are to:

  • Increase awareness of the importance of complete and competent site investigation for the design and construction of foundations and underground structures.
  • Develop and implement skill programs covering manpower involved in geotechnical investigation.

The committee is working closely with the DFI Subsurface Characterization for Deep Foundations Committee in the U.S.

The committee has three key areas of focus:

  • Enhancing Good Practices
  • Skill Development Programs
  • Promotional Activities
