The method summed up in this paper is precise and practicable. The loading test data of more than 200 piles directly from fields are collected in this paper to show that the yield load of various piles can be well determined by means of the calculation method. The first peak on the (formula) broken-line graph well corresponds to the maximum curvature on the P-S curve, at which the load is defined as the yield load. The (formula) method is not only for determining the yield loads of piles of which test data are complete, but also for those piles of which test data are not too complete.
