Design for Safety for Deep Foundations and Earth Retention
Richard Marshall

Designing for construction safety represents a change from custom and practice whereby the design professional (that is, architects and/or engineers), and typically the project owner (that is, the client), become involved in facilitating construction site safety at the earliest stages of a projectís life cycle. This session will discuss some of the known ideas of incorporating construction expertise into the design process, in an effort to ensure the design is cost effective, and safe to build.
