Analysis of Seawalls on Pile Foundations Subject to Dynamic Breaking Wave Forces
A.F. Abouleid, H.H. Elmamlouk & T.M. Hassan; Cairo University, Egypt

The present study deals with the response of pile foundation to time dependent impulsive forces with special emphasis to vertical seawalls supported on pile foundations and subject to breaking wave forces. A one degree of freedom dynamic system including the effects of penetration depth of piles, piles number and arrangement, wall width, modulus of horizontal dynamic subgrade reaction and added water and soil masses is developed and applied to practical design problems. A computer program is performed based on the development model. A study case is considered including the comparison between developed model and the conventional statically foundation analysis.
